Hi, I am Koni Smart and I am a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and a GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) Practitioner. I have also had in depth training as a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis Expert - often called Nutritional Balancing. I offer genetic testing recommendations as a PureGenomics Practitioner. Lab testing is an important part of what I do. Finding the root cause of disease is crucial to beginning the healing process. Because of this fact, I offer a variety of lab tests to determine where your health issues are coming from.

 

I have always been interested in nutrition. In college I studied health, nutrition and physical education. I even became the foods and nutrition teacher at a local high school. I thought I knew it all, but found out years later that I really didn't have a clue. I thought I was eating healthy but after I stopped teaching to raise my growing family, health issues seemed to plague me. I dealt with allergies, leaky gut, infertility, miscarriage, low thyroid and even low bone density. I couldn't understand that while trying to eat so well, I was having so many health issues.

 

I went to Nutritional Therapy School to overcome my own health problems. Seeing my own health symptoms resolve gave me the desire to help other people who may also be suffering.

I did more in-depth training in gut health, lab testing, mineral analysis and DNA study. I am elated with the things I have learned. I recognize the value of testing and  know that through lab testing the root causes of your symptoms can be recognized and resolved.
